Hello folks,

My name is Wade Dillon and I am a 21 year old Alamo enthusiast out of Florida. For my entire life, both the Alamo and Art have been passions of mine. Here are some of my recent Alamo related pieces of artwork. All comments are most appreciated!

David Crockett & the Alamo.

Crockett (back right) listens in as his political opponent, Adam Huntsman, gives a speech.

Jim Bowie's Final Moments.

Col. William Barret Travis.

Crockett on his way to a fandango in his honor in San Antonio de Bejar.

Will post more soon!

All the best,
Wade

Hey everyone,

Was just commissioned to do a portrait of Jacob Darst for one of his descendants!

If you're interested in commissioning me to illustrate something for you, please email me at WadeDillon1836 @ gmail.com

Or find me on Facebook!

I look forward to hearing from you all and chatting about the Alamo!

All the best,
Wade Dillon

Jacob C. Darst: Call to Glory

Commission for a descendant of Jacob Darst, Alamo Defender and member of the Gonzales 32. This illustration is basically a remake of the Darst portrait that use to hang in the Alamo giftshop. The scene depicts the moment when the Alamo garrison is alerted to listen to Travis speak in the plaza. Done with pencil, ink, copic marker, and gouache on cold press illustration board. Comments are most welcome!

If anyone is interested, I am available for commission. Now would be a great time to request as every commission funds my move to San Antonio, Texas. I leave Florida for Texas on May 26th and arrive in San Antone on June 11th! I'd be more than happy to do portraits of Alamo Defenders, for their descendants, such as the one above! Feel free to shoot me a message!

Thanks!

All the best,
Wade
