

On
March 24, 1836, the Telegraph and Texas Register ran the first known list of
those who died at the Alamo. That list was far from complete or
accurate. Over the years, names have been added and subtracted from the
list. Like much of the history of the Alamo, corrections will continue to
be made. In publishing this list, we hope to honour all of those who were
at the Alamo.
They
came from all walks of life, the oldest known defender being Gordon C. Jennings,
and the youngest, Anthony Wolfe's son, age 11.
Whether
known or unknown to fame, their cause and country still the same.
