*ADDA MISSION*

The mission of the ALAMO DEFENDERS DESCENDANTS ASSOCIATION is to unite in fellowship the lineal and lateral descendants of those who were present inside the Alamo from February 23rd through March 6th, 1836 in service of the Provisional Government of Texas, including the soldiers, couriers, scouts and non-combatants (survivors).

*ADDA OBJECTIVES*

The objectives of the ALAMO DEFENDERS DESCENDANTS ASSOCIATION are as follows:

1. To promote, preserve, and exchange historical data about the history of the Alamo;

2. To perpetuate the memory of its defenders by promoting the education of the general public to the history of the Alamo and its defenders;

3. To aid in the preservation and marking of Alamo related historic sites as well as marking the gravesites of Alamo participants.

The ADDA is the only organization of its kind.  Its membership is made up of direct descendants of Alamo Defenders and those who support its mission and objectives.

Please take your time and look around our site.  Come back often as our site is under constant renovation and change.

When you have completed your tour, please complete our FEEDBACK FORM.  We would love to send you more information on becoming a member of the ADDA.

A Tribute to the Alamo Garrison

By Donna Trammell Mathis, descendant of Burke Trammell, Alamo Defender

Rise up ye stealthy warriors

And yield your hatchets high

For the enemy is upon us

And they are drawing nigh.

Man the cannon, load your pistols

And shoot your trusty guns

For the enemy is upon us

And we will never run.

The battle is determined

But we will not retreat

For the enemy is upon us

And we know not defeat.

The deed is done our fate is sealed

We take our final breath

For the enemy is upon us

Shout!  Victory or Death!
